Tiamo Brand Identity
Inspired by doilies? That was just one of the design touchstones of our brand reinvention for an Italian dining hotspot in the heart of Carlton, Tiamo.
ERD’s mission, as a brand identity specialist agency, was to honour four decades of family-built tradition with an identity to usher the business through the decades ahead.
Besides the symmetry of hand-embroidered Italian doilies, we were inspired by the waterfall patterns of 1960s architecture. The resulting typographical response is not just a reflection of the eatery’s strong sense of heritage, it simply oozes vintage retro vibes that open myriad opportunities to express the varied personality of this vibrant venue.
We applied the new identity to stationery, menus, building and vehicle signage, coffee cups, pizza boxes, vans, aprons and jackets. We also created an anniversary brand to commemorate Tiamo’s 40th birthday.
